HER REIGN SERIES: Rosie Napravnik

Join us for our virtual Her Reign Series, where we spotlight current and former professional equestrians, trainers, and industry leaders. Through candid conversations, we explore personal journeys, lessons learned, training philosophies, career advice, and the stories behind successful careers—all while celebrating the incredible women shaping the equestrian industry.

For this session, we are honored to welcome Rosie Napravnik.

Rosie is one of the most accomplished jockeys in modern Thoroughbred racing history and a true trailblazer for women in the sport. During her remarkable career, she shattered barriers, becoming a multiple-time winner of the Kentucky Oaks, the first woman to ride in all three races of the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing in a single year, and only the second woman to win a Breeders' Cup race—and the first to win more than one.

Known for her fearless determination, exceptional horsemanship, and partnership with her horses, Rosie retired from professional racing after an extraordinary career that included more than 1,800 victories and over $71 million in career purse earnings.

Today, she continues to make an impact as a trainer, coach, and advocate for the Thoroughbred breed. Through her training program, which primarily focuses on eventing, she also draws on her experience in hunters, jumpers, and fox hunting to prepare horses for the disciplines in which they are most likely to excel.

Rosie is also the owner of Off-Track, where she maintains close relationships with racing owners and trainers who trust her to help Thoroughbreds successfully transition from the racetrack to second careers. Her mission is to champion the versatility, trainability, and athleticism of off-track Thoroughbreds while increasing their presence and success across equestrian sports.

During this conversation, Rosie will share lessons from her groundbreaking career, discuss the mindset required to compete at the highest levels of equestrian sport, and offer insights on transitioning from elite competition to training the next generation of horse-and-rider partnerships.

Whether you're an experienced rider, an aspiring equestrian, or simply inspired by stories of resilience and excellence, this conversation promises to be one you won't want to miss.

This is also the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow members and build relationships with women across our Lady Saddlers Club chapters.
